Neuro-Nurturing

In this episode, I interview Deborah McNelis about her concept of Neuro-Nurturing. Deb takes the complex topic of childhood brain functioning and development and breaks it down into usable, bite-size pieces of information to assist parents and others who want to help children become all they can be. She has four areas of focus, each of which is critically important. She says that you can find others who are experts in each of these areas but she focuses on the gestalt of brain development. When parents and others have realistic, developmental expectations for children and provide them with the building blocks they need for optimum development, the stress level on the child and the caregivers is greatly reduced. Listen in if you have a child, age 1 to 6, that you are interacting with.
