Dreams Inspired by Hope
In this episode, I interview Dr. Evisha Ford, a colleague and fellow member of the Professional Women's Network in Chicago's south suburbs. Evisha has an inspiring story of seeing the need for special education for high school students and her school district decided it wasn't the right time for the program she developed. That didn't stop Dr. Evisha! She left her job and started her own non-profit to provide the desperately needed services to approximately 100 students a year. Their educational center is much more than just education, though. It's called, I Can Dream Center, and she screens her new hires for their capacity for compassion. Dr. Evisha is a magnanimous leader, who inspires those around to dream through her vision of hope. Her new book, Benches in the Bathroom, is available to preorder.
